President Bola Ahmed Tinubu touched down at the Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, this morning, marking the start of a highly anticipated official visit to Anambra State. The arrival of the President was greeted with vibrant fanfare, as dignitaries, local leaders, and enthusiastic residents gathered to welcome him.

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, alongside top state officials, received President Tinubu at the airport, where cultural troupes performed to honor the occasion. The visit, described as a pivotal moment for Anambra’s development, is expected to focus on key issues including infrastructure, economic empowerment, and regional security.

In a brief address at the airport, President Tinubu expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering inclusive growth across Nigeria. “Anambra is a hub of innovation and resilience. Local residents voiced optimism about the visit, with many hoping it will bring tangible development to the state. “This is a proud moment for Anambra. We believe Tinubu’s presence will open new doors for us,” said Chika Okeke, a trader at the airport vicinity.
