President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Muslim community in Nigeria and beyond, following the passing of renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, who died at the age of 84.

In a statement, President Tinubu described Sheikh Bello as a highly revered Islamic scholar who dedicated his life to serving Almighty Allah and humanity. He noted that Sheikh Bello’s unusual insight into the Holy Quran, depth of wisdom, and extraordinary gift of interpretation provided peace, comfort, and guidance to many.
President Tinubu also acknowledged Sheikh Bello’s steadfast position on charity, peace, and civil order, as well as his frequent counsel to leaders on the importance of trust, honesty, and fairness in governance.
