President Tinubu Set for Yola Visit to Commission Key Projects, Engage Leaders

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a one-day working visit to Adamawa State on Monday, February 16, 2026, where he is expected to commission several completed infrastructure projects and hold discussions with state leaders and traditional rulers.

The trip follows closely on the heels of his recent visit to Kebbi State, continuing the administration’s focus on inaugurating development initiatives across the northern region.

In Yola and Jimeta, the President will formally commission the expansive eight-lane Galadima Aminu Road, a vital artery connecting Gimba to the state capital and its twin city of Jimeta, designed to improve transportation flow and economic linkages in the area.

He will also inaugurate a modern model school that integrates pre-primary, primary, and junior secondary education under one facility, a newly constructed multipurpose hall, the extensively remodelled High Court complex, a purpose-built officers’ complex, and the fully renovated Government House.

Beyond the commissioning ceremonies, President Tinubu will interact with senior government officials, traditional title holders, and other prominent indigenes of Adamawa State.

The President is scheduled to return to Abuja at the conclusion of the day’s engagements.

The visit is widely seen as an endorsement of the infrastructure gains recorded in Adamawa under Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s leadership.

State authorities have completed preparations to receive the President, with enhanced security measures already in place across Yola and neighbouring communities to guarantee a hitch-free programme.
