President Bola Tinubu has given Nigerians a wonderful Christmas gift – free train rides nationwide from December 20, 2024, to January 5, 2025. This move is expected to ease the burden of transportation costs during the festive season.
The free train rides will undoubtedly bring relief to many Nigerians who travel long distances to celebrate the holidays with loved ones
Although details of the initiative are still emerging, it’s clear that the President is committed to making the holiday season more enjoyable for Nigerians. Last year, Federal Government approved a similar initiative, which included a 50% reduction in interstate transport fares, in addition to free train rides.
The free train rides will undoubtedly bring relief to many Nigerians who travel long distances to celebrate the holidays with loved ones. As the country prepares for the festive season, this announcement is a welcome development.
