Press Freedom: Adamawa Govt Approves N2.06b to remodel State own media to global standard

As the world mark Press freedom day, the Adamawa State Executive Council has approved for the supply and installation of 4 AM and FM transmitters and remodeling of 4 studios for Adamawa broadcasting cooperation (ABC Yola) at the cost of over N2.06 billion.

This was revealed by the State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Neido Geoffrey kofulto while briefing newsmen after the council meeting that held in the Council Chambers Government House, Yola.

The council meeting was presided by the president in council, Governor Ahmadu Umaru fintiri and has deliberated extensively on matters that will move the state forward.

Mrs Geoffrey kofulto said the remodeling of ABC Yola will enhance productivity of the station inline with the global base standard.

Also approved during the meeting, was the award of contract for the renovation of high court complex A and B at the cost over N1.9 billion and over N495 million respectively.

This is to give more freedom to the media to practice as the Information bridge between the government and the governed.
