His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed shock over the killing of the CAN Chairman of Michika LGA Reverend Lawan Andimi by captors
Governor Fintiri extends his heartfelt condolences to the family of the slain man of God, the EYN church and the entire CAN over the unfortunate incident.
Governor Fintiri further described the murder of the clergyman as a callous act that will never be condoned or accepted in a sane world .
While appealing for calm over the evil intent to which they wish to achieve by the gruesome murder of the Pastor even when negotiations for his release was ongoing. The Governor called on security agencies to intensify efforts geared towards quelling the retrogressive activities by the lnsurgents for good.
Governor Fintiri enjoined the people not to live in fear which is the ultimate aim of the insurgents who are practically under intense fire from the military authorities.
His Excellency the Governor also wishes to appeal to both Christians and Muslims in the state to continue to live in peace and not to allow acts by insurgents cause friction amongst them.
Governor Fintiri is also informing the citizenry that acts of terrorism is abhorred in all its ramifications and that insurgents have no hiding place as they will be decimated as long as they do not refrain from act of wanton killings of innocent citizens.
