A communication expert, Professor Umar Pate scheduled to deliver a lecture to Adamawa state Journalists on a topic “Fake-News,Hate Speech and Nigeria’s Democracy, issues and challenges.”
Pate head of Mass Communication at the Bayero University Kano is coming to home state coming Saturday, 14th September, 2019 at NUJ conference Hall by 10am
The widely traveled university Don told Tgnews that is making frantic effort to arm journalist to combat the menace of fake news perforating journalism profession in the country.
According to him quacks are using the strength of information Technology,especially the social media platforms to propagate all sorts of fake news to the generality of the people.
He said the prevalence of fake news is indeed brewing hates speech dampening the Democracy of the country in an unimaginary way.
