.... allow us to participate, there are chances for us to win, they appeal

A conglomeration of Pro All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth groups has expressed their worries over the recent decision of the state working committee (SWC) of the Adamawa chapter of the party who have announced their withdrawal to join in the coming Local Government areas election scheduled by the state independent elections commission (ADSIEC).

Comrade Khalil Sajoh, Comrade Dauda Kushsland e, and Comrade Ikur Edmund Hellandendu (APC State Coordinator HomeFront) while addressing participants in a meeting brainstorming the decision of the SWC said they have thrown up the towel earlier and easily as a major opposition party in the state is a sign that the pronouncement of the Adamawa State Governor, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of killing the party may come to a reality if care is not taken.

The Youth appealed to the party’s stakeholders to review their decision and allow everyone willing to join the race of becoming Chairman or councillor to try their luck.

They faulted the party’s officials stand who have taken a decision to challenge the composition of the ADSIEC to be majorly made from the ruling PDP.

The Youth Said there was a lack of synergy between the APC Lawmakers in the state house of assembly and the APC Party officials to have failed by allowing the ADSIEC composition sailed through their screening at the hallow chambers.

And asked Why the APC Lawmakers cannot stop the ADSIEC composition by disapproving it right from the onset? which to know was a deliberate interest of the government that was against the generality interest of the people.

They have stated in obvious terms that the party is fit and capable to contest and with high chances to win elections as they have recalled previous elections under the watch of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri two years ago many APC candidates won their wards elections.

Abubakar Ahmed Daware, Saddam Umar Sanda, and Umar Jada postulated their views to remind the APC leaders that their decision is tantamount to denying them a chance to grow in politics.

Perturbed by their decision the Youth said their political change of pose in regard the local government areas election will equally make them leave the party as many of them seen chances of winning the election.

They maintained that the future of APC politics in Adamawa State is on them and participating in the July LGA election will make the party much more relevant.

They have the same view that it is a slap for a party with a president at the center of affairs that the Adamawa APC should not be scared of joining the LGA election.

“Their decision is a sign of defeat and should not be tolerated. We are begging them to see the need of us the Young ones growing up into the party’s future politics. Don’t destroy the part by not participating in the election.

“Let’s not give him the window to destroy our party as he promised, we brought him on board and we should not feel defeated for once.” They said
