Professor Umaru Pate, Vice Chancellor of Federal University Kashere in Gombe State, has been selected to represent Nigeria at the 10th MCAP-BNU International Media Conference, scheduled to take place in Lahore, Pakistan, from February 18 to 19, 2025. The conference, themed “Bridging Divides: Media Literacy for Informed and Connected Societies,” will bring together experts from around the world to discuss the challenges and opportunities in media literacy and its role in shaping societies.

As the sole Nigerian participant, Professor Pate will deliver a keynote address, sharing his insights on contemporary media challenges and the evolving communication landscape.
