The Atiku Support Group (ASG) whose corporate headquarters is in Yola,having Hon. Mark Wosi as the Director General of the organisation issued a press statement to Journalists advising an Igbo group agitating for the country of Biafra, and an Arewa group that gave a three months quit notice ultimatum to all Igbos residing in the northern states that “the one we are the better is for every Nigerians.”
The group is appealing to the parties involved to sheath their swords and come together to work for the progress and development of the country.
“We should be mindful of the Fact that we are important to each other, therefore, no Nigerian is More Nigerian than the other(s). There is need for us to promote peace and not allow divisive elements among us to pitch us against One another.” Wosi said
Wosi continue to say that the group strongly believe in the unity of the nation and calling for well meaning Nigerians to canvass for the peace and the unity of the nation.
“We canvass for a peaceful coexistence among the citizens,the indissolubility and indivisibility of Nigeria remains sacrosanct,therefore it is our collective responsibility to work with one another in unity of purpose in order to move this country forward
“We must imbibe the culture of tolerance and accommodate the opinions and views of one another even when they are contrary or in conflict with our own position.”
The group is also reminding all Nigerians that as the country is moving to a count down stage of 2019 general elections, they should know that is only Atiku Abubakar has the capacity to tackle the numerous problems Currently facing the country,is focus to provide Nigerians with quality and purposeful leadership.
