As key players and actors in ensuring sustainable peace in Adamawa, the Chairman, Youth wing of Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN),Rev Gabriel L. Shall has called on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas to pray fervently for the return of peace and unity for the entire state and the country at large during this Ramadan fasting.
He said that Ramadan is a special month that the Almighty Allah and the Muslim faithfuls are having a cordial relationship, serving Him genuinely and His heart of love and Mercy are much available and willing to answer their prayers and supplications.
According to him, it is therefore pertinent to use the moment to secured the destiny of the State wishing that the state under the administration of Governor Ahmadu to succeed.
Shall also called on His Royal Highness,the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa that as devote Muslims who and a traditional leader his prayers of love and peace among the people of Adamawa state is the key elements of peaceful coexistence.
The Christian Youth leader who is CEO of SASILGA Consultancy and Investment SC&I LTD however congratulated them of being partakers of this year’s Ramadan blessings which they will receive through the spiritual exercise of fasting and prayers.
In a statement he signed, Gabriel further said the Adamawa state chapter of YOWICAN is having a good working relationship with National Council for Muslim Youths Organisation of the State, working in harmony and with understanding of the overall interest of Adamawa Youths.
“We have been in touch with Mal Bashir Tahir Yola, the chairman of the Youth Wings of the Muslim Council, we extend our goodwill message to all the Muslim faithful.” He said
On the issues of insecurity, the YOWICAN Chairman said the state and across the nation is spike of all form of crimes which is posing a big threat to the country’s corporate existence. Pleading to Muslims in Adamawa to supplicate to God for His mercies to over ride the evil plans of Nigeria’s enemies.
“Political leaders spiritual and traditional authorities must rise up, and all hands must be on deck to work towards securing the desired peace, protecting the lives of those God kept under the custody of every leader.” Gabriel said
He urged all the Muslim Ummah in the State to take advantage of the Ramadan period and pray for the peace of the good people of Adamawa State, urging them together as it is enshrined in both the holy books they believe on.
He praised Governor Ahmadu Fintir for leading an impactful government, constructing good roads across the twenty one local government that it is indeed an economic driven leadership prowess.
“The fanciful and well-constructed flyovers under constructions, has added beauty and dignity to the state. He call all indigens of Adamawa State to put party politics aside and give the Governor all the needed support.
“As Christian faithfuls, we are enjoined by Biblical injunction to be loyal and to pray for those in authority.Security has been one of the major focal point agenda of this administration, and so far i must commend him for that and is worthy of praise that is on his toes to wade off bad elements in the state
” Governor Ahmadu is trying in giving us a more peaceful Adamawa State. Our Royal father in the State and the Honorable Speaker, all the stakeholders and Elder Statesmen should work together toward securing a peaceful sustained Adamawa State.
“We are aware of the scholarship your administration offered to the Youths in the state who traveled outside the country to study medicine and Engineering. This remains legacy that posterity will judge well after many years of your tenure and existence.
” With keen interest we are watching every step of your administration and so far you have our confidence, our support and loyalty. The lawmakers in their respective constituencies are also complementing your work with good services of electrification at the rural areas. We kept hearing of the free medical health delivery to pregnant mothers and children between 0-5 years old, eye treatment in various wards has being the stories coming from our lawmakers.
“May your administration continue to remain focus, as we urge you to continue to do your best in securing lives and property in the state.” Gabriel added
