Former Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow continue staying in Mubi, his home for the sole aim of observing this year’s Ramadan Fast is characterized with receiving visitors at every breaking of the fast (Suhur).
The day five of his Ibadat (worship) during the Suhur time he was in received of a group known as Bindow Northern zone social media team which comprises of Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Michika and madagali.
The team under the leadership of Hon Bala Usman visited Senator Bindow in their hundreds and vouched for their loyalty to him in his political dreams.
The spokesman for the group, Alhaji Baba Zakiru told the former Governor Bindow that they have come to pray with him and ask of God’s guiding over his entire life in whatever thing is doing.
He said they are his social media warriors, defenders and promoters of his good leadership ideals and they have come to show their loyalty on the sustained relationship built over the years.
According to him Umaru is being missed by Adamawa people who are yearning and hungry for his leadership good qualities because he left numerous legacies of developmental strides in the state that will be hard for any one else to break.
Senator Bindow told our correspondent that one of his decisions to spend days fasting during the Ramadan season in Mubi is to have time to call for prayers and Unity across the state, especially the land of Mubi is which is known for commercial activities. To also pray for President Muhammadu Buhari who is the overall leader in the country and any other person holding the helm of leadership.
He however said that the visit by his social media supporters gave him the opportunity to called their attention to shun all forms of illicit drugs. Telling them drugs abuse is a big problem that take only the youth can help fight it to its stand still by not taking it.
According to Jibrilla world over, youth are the pillars of every country’s economy, he called on them to leverage on the return of peace in the zone and go back into meaningful venture like dry and rainy season farming, business and school.
“Thank you for coming and showing up again, your support for me on the social media is all the time appreciated, Bala can bear me witness. By virtue of computer technology, I do see and read your trending posts on me in an effort to support me but we have never sit one on one like this, you show that most especially when I was in Government as a Senator and a Governor. I really appreciate you.
“Drugs abuse and taken of all illicit drugs is the Genesis of our problem in this country, avoid it with all passion because it does nothing than killing one’s dream and putting the country in a more problem. Engage into many meaning ventures that can rather boost our economy and our state and the country generate revenue.
” Our zone is blessed with many untapped potentials you can exploits it and make a good living out of it.” Bindow said
The leader of the group, Bala Usman also reiterated that the Youth were selected and few of the leaders are Baba zakiru,Comrade Abdulmumini, Mohammed Auwal, Ahmed Saad and Jibirilla Agawa and are thinking of a capacity workshop on how to use their social media handles in a sooner possible time.
An ardent supporter of Umaru in the social media, Bashir Maski also extolled him by saying that he has seen in him simplicity, generosity, humility and passion for human and community development.
