Ramadan Tafsir: Adamawa Monarchs, Elders enjoin Islamic preachers to propagate the Message of Peace

A three-day National Conference on Ramadan Tafsir organized by Jama’atul Nasir Islam (JNI) Adamawa State Branch has called on Islamic scholars to propagate the Message of Peace, Unity, and progress of Nigeria and the Muslim Ummah.

Kaduna National Headquarters of JNI organized the annual event and hosted in Yola under the Leadership of His Eminence The Sultan of Sokoto President General, Jama’atul Nasril Islam.

The JNI conference was rated one of its kind where senior citizens and critical Stakeholders attended the conference and called on Islamic scholars to be the vanguard of unity among the Many preachers of Islam religion even as the 2024 (1445 AH) Ramadan calendar is by the corner.

The Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness Muhammed Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha who is the Vice President General of JNI, the Lamido Mubi, HRH Dr. Isa Ahmadu CFR NPoM, Gangwari Ganye, HRH Alhaji Dr Adamu Sanda and Amma Shelleng, Alhaji Dr. Isa Abdullahi Dasong are some of the Adamawa Royal Fathers attended the conference.

Alhaji Aminu Abdulkadir Mbamba who is the Walin Adamawa is the distinguished Chairman of the conference, the Adamawa State Chairman of JNI is the Galadima Adamawa, Alh Mustapha Aminu and
Alh Gambo Jika is the Chairman Planning Committee of the Yola Ramadan Tafsir 2024 Conference have unanimously agreed that preachers of Islamic religion as a matter of duty desist from all forms of messages that are capable of dividing the nation during their various Ramadan Tafsir sermons.

Dr Yusuf Abdullahi Yusuf, Chief Imam University of Jos Central Mosque is the guest speaker and Prof Khalil Abubakar Aliyu who is the secretary General of JNI was the guest of honor.

The 2024 Tafsir conference is aimed at drawing the attention of Islamic scholars particularly those that are presiding over Tafsir during Ramadan.

They lamented how Many Self-acclaimed Scholars do not have the requisite knowledge of the Holy Quran and have misinformation the general public by misinterpreting the Quran verses and chapters.

The conference which is the first of its kind in the country, and Adamawa State is lucky to host the event the stakeholders from at how preachers are brewing hatred among many Nigerians instead of lessons of Ramadan to dwell in the heart of men.

The Speaker, Dr Yusuf enjoined Muslim clerics never to imbibe the habit of joining issues among the Islamic scholars discouraged hate speeches in their sermon.

“Preach on what will unite than what will divide us, dwell your messages on Holy Quaran, Sunnah and Hadits that are lessons of peaceful co-existence among Muslims and non Muslims.” He Said

Speakers during the conference centered on calling on scholars to consider the harsh economy situation the country is currently going through and respect to the constituted authority.
