The Member Representing Maiha Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Isa Yahaya, has vehemently condemned an online media report against him, describing the report as baseless, unfounded and lies fabricated to tarnish his image.
It could be recalled that an online report published during the week had described the honourable member as a” Reckless Legislator”.
But reacting on the report, Hon. Yahaya, dismissed the report in its entirety, describing it as a calculated attempt by the writer aimed at destroying his hard earned image and as a legislator.
He said that the report mischievously quoted him as threatening to unleash hell fire on one of the staff of the House of Assembly on Friday and Monday last week, explaining that the statement does not reflect his character as humble and committed lawmaker who is poised to provide quality representation to his people.

According to him, the issue of threatning a staff of the house for not allocating an office accommodation to him is not true, saying that returning him for a second term by his constituents has nothing to do with an office accommodation that would be given to freely.
Even though, according to him, it is the Honourable Speaker that is in charge of the house, but at no time he directed him to fight a staff over office accommodation, explaining that the report cannot be substantiated by any right thinking member of the society.
The lawmaker further explained that as a distinguished, respected and honourable member for third term, sees no reason why he can engage such staff in an argument not to talk of life threatening statement.
Hon. Yahaya pointed out that as a lawmaker, he knows the right of a fellow human being and cannot in any way trample upon it.
He contended that it is unfair for some people attributed in the fabricated and malicious report to call him with all sort of names just to ridicule him, calling on the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Adamawa state chapter to fish out and sanction quack journalists in the interest of the profession.
The legislator disclosed that his primary assignment at the house is to ensure adequate representation of his constituents and the state at large, and not asking the House of Assembly Service Commission to issue a query on any staff.
Hon. Isa Yahaya, advised the writer to check his facts before publishing his report, so as not to continue in damaging the image of people.
But the writer in a text sent to the member, apologised to him over the report thus: “pls Sir ka yafe mini. I’m very sorry over the report. Forgive me”.
