Relief as FG slams Babajide Salako, directs full handover of CIPPON to newly inaugurated officers

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation has directed Mr. Babajide Salako the purported President of Charted Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria to immediately hand over all assets of the organization to the inaugurated officers led by Mr. Koko Clement as substantive President and Chairman Governing Board.

In a decisive letter of directives from the office of the Honorable Minister of Information and National Orientation signed by Ahmed Hajarat Mustapha (Mrs), Assistant Fed. Govt. Printer (OFGP) for the Permanent Secretary titled Handing over of Charted Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria Properties and assets to the newly inaugurated officers and sighted by this medium says “you are directed to handover all the properties and
belongings in your possession to the legitimate Council members led by Mr. Koko T. Clement who is the current President and Chairman in council of the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria to enable them perform their legitimate functions for the betterment of the institute and the nation at large.”

According to the Federal Government, the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation is the supervisory
ministry for the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers, as established by the 2007 Act No. 24. Section 2(b) and Section 34 sub (section 1). This Act gives the Ministry oversight responsibility for the Institute and ensures that it operates in line
with its statutory mandate and professional standards.

The letter maintained that, “it is on this note that I am writing in respect to the appeal court judgement issued on the 20th August, 2025 between Mr. Olugbemi Malomo – Appellant and
Chartered Institute of Professional Printer of Nigeria and 4 others including the Honourable Minister of Information and Culture whereby the appellant failed to established or show that he suffered miscarriage of justice with the judgement of the lower court in this appeal, the appeal has no merit and is dismissed, therefore the
judgement of the lower court is hereby affirmed”

It called on Babajide Salako and his supporters to team up with the Koko Clement leadership of CIPPON for effective development hence
the Executive, Legislative and the Court have all decided in favour of the Koko T Clement leadership stressing that anything other than to hand over will amount to Contempt of Court
