Rep Kwamoti woos Private sectors, says it’s important they invest in sports

The need for private sector involvement in developing sports in Nigeria can never be emphasized, this was the position of a federal lawmaker in Adamawa, Honourable Loari Kwamoti

Hon Laori Kwamoti, member representing Numan Demsa and Lamurade federal constituency stated this during the final of the JAGAMATO unity football competition in Ganye, Adamawa state.

According to the lawmaker who was the special guest at the occasion sports development should not be left to the government alone stressing that private sector investment in sports increases the chances of sports personnel and also helps governments develop both facilities and human development.

” We are gathered here today to witness the final match of the competition and you can the joy in people’s faces, they have all come out in their numbers”

” One good about this competition is that the sponsor, Hon Innua Bassi, my friend and colleague in the national assembly has brought FIFA accredited agents who have already identified over 10 players that will be taken to Europe for trials”

“This gesture will go a long way in developing the youths, their families and the government will also have their own share of their success”

We are the national assembly also trying to make laws that will see that we have good sporting facilities in every part of this country.

” When our youths are engaged in sporting activities, crime and criminality will be reduced, ” Hon Kwamoti said.

Sponsor of the competition, Hon. Innua Bassi said this is one of the many programs lined up to empower youths and women in his constituency.

He commended the committee for putting up the program.

JAGAMATO is an acronym for the four local government areas that make up one of the federal constituencies in Adamawa state.

At the end of one week of football competition, Ganye United won the converted trophy prices were given to all deserving teams and players while the deleted players are now in Abuja en route to Europe.
