Ahead of this Saturday’s governorship supplementary election in Adamawa state, women group under the umbrella of Director Youth Mobilization on Monday held a solidarity walk to register their unalloyed support and solidarity to the Fintiri led administration.
The women walked from Atiku Abubakar Way to Fresh Air Campaign Office at Ahmadu Bello Way, Jimeta.

The event was a demonstration of support for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Blessing Stephen revealed that the aim of the gathering was to show their support for the Governor.
She added that “Fintiri continuity is a project for all, hence contributing our quater as a people.”
In her contribution, Maryam Garba Mohammed, commended the Governor for his efforts to improve the lives of the people, especially in the areas of education, healthcare, infrastructure, security amongst others.
Responding, Special Adviser to Governor Fintiri on Political Matters, Alh Abdulrahaman Bobboi appreciates the women group for declaring their total support for Governor Fintiri, assuring that their efforts will not be in vain.
He noted that the Governor who is running an all inclusive government has women at heart, having picked a woman as his running mate.
Barrister Abdulrahaman also lauded the lofty achievements of the Governor, urging other women of like-minds to continue supporting Fintiri’s vision of rebuilding the state.
The Adviser said the upcoming supplementary election is not for Governor Fintiri alone, but for integrity, peace, a course for the people to strive and development of the state.
He further pledged to give the group all the necessary support required, promising to extend their goodwill message to the Governor.
Highlight of the event was group photograph with the Adviser and other Support Groups Leaders at the Fresh Air Campaign Office.
The supplementary election is said to be conducted in 69 polling units where elections were cancelled during the 18th March governorship election.
Governor Fintiri of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is leading Aishatu Dahiru Binani of All Progressives Congress (APC) with over 31,000 votes.
