Restoration Awaits: 18th Akurumi Prayer Summit Set for January 2 in Kaduna

As Nigeria prepares to usher in the new year with renewed spiritual fervor, the Christian community in Kaduna State is gearing up for the 18th edition of the Akurumi Prayer Summit, themed “God of Restoration.”

The highly anticipated interdenominational event is scheduled for Thursday, January 2, 2026, commencing at 10:00 AM. It will take place at LEA Bissallah Primary School Field, opposite Bugban Palace, Yarkasuwa, Lere Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

The summit draws inspiration from Joel 2:25, with the theme rendered in Tikurmi as “Ashini Ha Uvooren” – emphasizing divine restoration and renewal.

Leading the ministration will be renowned speaker Apostle S.B. Anthony from GCRA Abuja. Attendees can expect powerful songs ministration from the Women Choir EZWA DCC Saminaka and the acclaimed Acapella Choir Kahuta.

The event is coordinated by Vision Coordinator Rev. H.Y. Tutu and Vision Co-Coordinator Rev. T.S. Jakada, promising a day of intense prayer, worship, and prophetic declarations.

Organizers urge believers from across the region to attend, describing the summit as a divine appointment for personal and communal breakthrough. “Come expecting the God of Restoration to move mightily,” a statement from the coordinators read.

The Akurumi Prayer Summit has grown over the years into one of the prominent annual spiritual gatherings in northern Nigeria, attracting thousands seeking divine intervention at the start of each new year.
