‎A promising, colorful, and momentous traditional ceremony will hold tomorrow, December 29, 2025; Mr. Peter Gabriel Buba, the distinguished North West Regional Manager of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, will be proudly turbaned as the Jagaban Pirigah by His Royal Highness Jonathan Zamuna (JP), the revered Chief of Pirigah Chiefdom in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

‎The prestigious title of Jagaban, derived from Hausa tradition meaning “leader from the front” or “warrior vanguard,” symbolizes exceptional courage, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment to community development.

‎This honor bestowed upon Mr. Buba underscores his remarkable contributions not only to the banking sector but also to societal progress, making him a bridge between modern professional excellence and deep-rooted cultural heritage.

‎The turbaning ceremony, rich in Northern Nigerian cultural splendor, featured vibrant displays of traditional attire, including majestic turbans symbolizing royalty and authority among Hausa communities.

‎Mr. Peter Gabriel Buba’s journey to this royal accolade is a testament to his extraordinary dedication and visionary leadership.

‎With over 19 years of illustrious banking experience spanning Diamond Bank, Access Bank, and UBA Plc, he has spent 17 years excelling in business development, including 12 years in high-impact managerial and leadership roles.

‎Currently serving as Regional Manager for Kaduna at UBA Plc since October 2025, Mr. Buba has consistently driven growth and innovation in one of Nigeria’s key economic hubs.

‎His career highlights include pivotal positions such as Branch Manager in Kano, Head of Corporate and Energy Banking, and various relationship management roles that have empowered businesses and fostered economic empowerment across the North West region.

‎A scholar of distinction, Mr. Buba holds multiple advanced degrees: an M.Sc. in Digital Transformation (2024) and an MBA (2023) from Nexford University, USA; a Master’s in Development Studies from Bayero University, Kano (2014); and a B.Sc. in Accounting (Second Class Upper) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (2004).

‎His professional affiliations further highlight his expertise, including Fellowships from the Institute of Business Diplomacy & Financial Management and the Institute of Management Consultants, as well as Associate memberships in the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and the Risk Management Association of Nigeria.
