In a significant step towards digital governance, the Adamawa State government has received a donation of three scanners and thirty all-in-one computers for the Ministry of Land and Survey, courtesy of the State Action on Business Enabling Reforms (SABER) initiative.
This donation marks a substantial advancement in the state’s efforts to enhance transparency and efficiency in land administration.
Dr. Bello Abubakar Song, the State Focal Person for SABER, presented the essential items, emphasizing the program’s focus on improving transparency in land administration through seven key indicators. Notably, the digital archiving of certificates has garnered recognition from the Nigeria Governor’s Forum, showcasing Adamawa State’s commitment to innovation in this area.

The introduction of these devices is expected to greatly enhance the digitization of the ministry’s operations. Dr. Ahmed Hammajam, Special Adviser to Governor Fintiri on ICT, e-governance, and policy, highlighted the technicality involved in using the electronic devices. According to him, the current administration is making strategic efforts to bolster digital governance within the state, aimed at fostering transparency and accountability.
Commissioner for Land and Survey Joab Sahma praised Governor Fintiri for his forward-thinking reforms in land administration, noting that they have led to significant improvements in the ministry’s efficiency. The ministry has expressed its commitment to fostering development for the state’s benefit and has pledged to attract additional support.
The Fintiri-led administration remains committed to enhancing the overall conditions in the state, paving the way for a more efficient and transparent governance framework. With this donation, Adamawa State is one step closer to achieving its goal of digital governance.
