The vision bearer of the Radio station, Dr Jacob Abdalla said that Salama Radio International is experiencing a new rebirth of its kind and the relaunch of a new Salama Radio/TV is on the way with modern facilities.
Salama Radio International, two decades ago was a dear station on transmission strength of Shortwave (SW), broadcasting from London, United Kingdom widely reaching many countries in West Africa and beyond with very strong signals. At its height, Salama Radio International was being heard by at least 5 million listeners per night as verified by Merlin VT.
For over a decade, the Station has been silent after suffering the setback of lack of corporate funding and support from well meaning individuals and organizations.
The vision bearer of the Radio station, Dr Jacob Abdalla, said that Salama Radio International is experiencing a new rebirth of its kind and that the relaunch of this new Salama Radio/TV is on the way, complete with modern facilities.
He said this in Yola, Nigeria during an inaugural cocktail party of the Harvestime Ministries, the umbrella Ministry for Salama Radio International.
According to him, the relaunch of Salama Radio now comes with a new online dimension for the Radio and Television (TV) Station. This online version of the Radio and TV will take advantage of new trends in technology to reach as many listeners as possible.
Dr Abdalla who was divinely guided to open the Radio station during a journey from Sidney, Australia to London in 2000 assured invited guest at the cocktail party that the station is going to be resurrected very soon, hitting the ground with people oriented programs to educate and reawaken their total being.
He revealed that all arrangement have put in place to consult expert, establish board members and trustees to see to the realisation of the formal relaunch of the station.
During the cocktail party good will messages were given by eminent personalities who graced the meeting and proffered a way forward for the rebirth of the cherished Radio that was broadcasting in Jos, Plateau state.
Former staff of Salama from Plateau, Taraba and Adamawa States were around and testified of how the radio was truly the voice of the people and a medium of spiritual growth.
Dr Abdalla poured out his heart of gratitude to all guests who honoured the invitation.
