Adamawa State Governor, Rt.Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri heartily Felicitates with the Muslim Ummah on the celebration of this years Eid el-Fitr.
“We thank Allah for a successful Ramadan Fast and for the peace of the State and wish Muslims around the world a successful Sallah celebration”.
While congratulating the Ummah at the end of the Holy month of Ramadan, the Governor regretted that humanity is going through the tough test of coronavirus “However Adamawa is managing this process very well”.
The Governor called on Muslims to observe the festival being conscious of the coronavirus pandemic and by strictly adhering to the protocols of COVID-19, which is still a source for concern.
He assured that Government will work to cushion the adverse impacts of the virus.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri called on Muslim faithful to strengthen the bond of friendship and unity across the State and always exhibit the good virtues of Ramadan for progress of the society.
While urging the good people of the State to sustain their prayers for peace and stability in Adamawa, the Governor said “We extend our sincere happiness to Almighty Allah that has made it possible for us to see this important day and pray that he continues to grant favour to our dear State, Adamawa for peace and progress”.
Rt.Hon Fintiri in a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonisikou noted that the successful one month long Ramadan Fasting has ushered in Eid El Fitr celebrations and called for cooperation of all towards finding a lasting solution to the myriad of challenges facing the country.
“Let us embrace the spirit of love, tolerance, forgiveness and brotherhood preached by Islam and other religions.
Having observed strictly the injunctions of Almighty Allah by self denial through fasting and prayers and by offering Zakat to the less privileged, the lessons learnt during the holy Month should not be lost”.
