In marking this year’s Ramadan fasting celebration, the Chairman of Maiha Local Government area council of Adamawa state, Hon Aminu Idi enjoined Muslim faithfuls to sustain the tempo of the lessons gotten during the 29 spiritual exercise to enhance peaceful coexistence among the people of the area.
After the two rakaat prayers at the eid ground in Maiha,Idi who was represented by the secretary of the LGA, Alhaji Halilu Iya Garu and prayed to God to bless the Land of Maiha with an enduring peace, unity and a rewarding rainy season to every community in the area.
According to him peace is second to none and remains a pivots means of development,he cautioned the citizens to be vigilant and be security conscious, calling on the village heads to build synergy of security alertness from Ward to local level.
Further Said that this year’s Ramadan fasting witnessed massive achievements and succeses by the Chairman who through his good leadership initiative visit inmates in the Maiha prison and fed over 100 of them in the spirit of the holy month.
The Chairman adviser on special duties,Alhaji Hassan Maiha who is among those mandated to visits the prisoners said the 43 of them were reprented with cloths, drinks and food were specially made for them to feel the spirit of the Ramada Month.
Hassan also spoke on behalf of the chairman, calling everyone irrespective of his or her religion to support the administration of Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow who is fast transforming the Adamawa into a model State.
