Sanwo-Olu announces salary increase for Lagos workers

A pay increase for state employees has been announced by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

During his working visit to the Secretariat in Alausa, Sanwo-Olu made this announcement.

The governor also declared that the first 100 personalised vehicles for ministry directors would be distributed at month’s end.

He said, “I have looked around and I know that as a country, there is pressure. I know that, as a country, there is a high level of inflation.

‘’At our cabinet meeting, I instructed the Head of Service office and the Ministry of staff, training, and pensions to start work on how we are going to increase the entire salary of our public servants.

“We will review salaries to show we can take care of our public servants. We won’t wait for the Federal Government because we are a proactive government”.
