A Stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of Yola South Local Government of Adamawa State, Sarkin Zanna has confirmed to this medium that the former commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy affair, Hon. Mustapha Barkindo ( Kaura Adamawa) has thrown his weight behind the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the PDP Gubernatorial candidate.
Sarkin Zana said that the former commissioner in an exhaustive meeting agreed work for Atiku and Fintiri as the only option for the country and the state.
Mustapha after the meeting have noted that Adamawa State would be immensely blessed to have the rare opportunity of producing Nigeria’s President in 2023. According to Prince Musdafa Barkindo, Waziri Adamawa appears the best alternative Nigeria has at the moment.
Furthermore, he reiterated that, Adamawa State has witnessed tremendous development under Governor Fintiri and it is only natural to support him for a second term to consolidate on the gains so far recorded.
However, an old picture of Kaura wearing an APC cap is being mischievously circulated to achieve an intended purpose.
Kaura has categorically distanced himself from such publication and vowed such acts can never discourage him from his resolve to support above candidates for the betterment of Adamawa.
Finally, he enjoin all well meaning people of Adamawa to support both Waziri and Fintiri for the good of the State. Already, Mr President himself acknowledged the good governance Fintiri is providing in the State by awarding his good efforts.
