An All Progressives Congress (APC) political group, operation deliver your polling unit for Buhari/Bindo and all other APC candidates in Adamawa described the last Saturday’s elections of 9th March as a rape on their constitutional rights.

The group which issued a Press release signed by its publicity secretary,Hon. Husseini Ahmadu Har (Tafida Cika Soro) said the people of Adamawa witnessed what has never been seen in any election since 1999.

The press release was issued to categorically notify the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that they have rejected the Election results in all the units that have irregularities in the Governorship and State Assembly Elections held on 9th March 2019 across the state.

“The Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit For Buhari-Bindow and All Other APC Candidates in Adamawa State is also seeking for the Electoral umpire to consider the cancellation of the Inconclusive Governorship and State Assembly Elections results in some Local Government Areas were there are complaints of widespread irregularities including, intimidation, harassment, killing of APC polling unit agent in Hong as well as orchestrated violence against party members and supporters.

“We also received reports from our members that Smart Card Readers (SCR) were not used for accreditation and voting in line with the election guidelines in many polling units in some Local Government Areas of the State during the Governorship and State Assembly Elections.

“The Smart Card Readers was not used for the election in several polling units, and we are calling for an audit of the (SCR) in addition to our call for the outright cancellation of the exercise in the all the areas affected as the 44 units cancelled by INEC is just 1% of areas where irregularities occurred. Let the result sheets be marched polling unit by polling unit.

“Once again we reject the results of the elections in some Local Governments due to non compliance with the Independent National Electoral Commission law, intimidation of party agents and widespread violence.

We are also calling on all our Members to remain calm and law-abiding as we are doing everything possible to ensure that the right thing is done in the interest of justice and fairness, inline with the law.” It says
