….the party might not survive in the coming elections shall there be no unity

Supreme court judgment affirming NNPP Governor Abba Gida Gida of Kano State is having a dere consequences with serious direct implications for the All Progressives Congress (APC) says Yusuf Jatabawa Jabs, a loyalist of the party from Adamawa State.

The rooted member of the APC who is a grassroots mobilizer and a social media influencer, Jabatawa said the ruling party at the national level will soon be thrown in a state of jeopardy.

Jabatawa based his reasons on how Abdullahi Ganduje who is the former Governor of Kano State and the party national chairman failed to deliver the state for the party.

According to him, the former Governor does not have what it takes to deliver Kano State to the party from the onset as it’s being speculated by APC social media propagandists.

He foresees the party running into internal scrabbles with politicians mounting pressure on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to shop for a far northern politician who has a home base support better than Abdullahi Ganduje.

The party loyalists revealed that because of APC’s lack of a reward system is weakening loyal members to commit to the ideals and manifestos of the party.

This according to him is a dangerous party stand and sighted an example with Adamawa where he described APC in the state as nothing more than a conglomeration of strange bedfellows whose main interests are personal gains not moving the Party forward.

He however said with the exception of a few individual party members who still maintain their integrity and loyalty to the party, more than half of the party are only fighting for their interest.

“Even though there are very good people with noble intentions in the party, for now, it seems palpable that those who hold all the aces within the party are either hell-bent on fizzling the party into nothingness or are just worried about their self-preservation and personal aggrandizement,” Jatabawa said

He recalled how the party woefully failed to get its way to the Adamawa state government House build-up to the 2023 general elections by simply being united and charting a common goal by critical stakeholders.

He said because of fizzled interest stakeholders threw caution to the wind and worked against the party disregarding winning principles and tips, remained clandestine in their agendas and the party is now in a sorry state.

He reminded politicians, especially the Adamawa State APC members that winning an election against an incumbent Governor is not a child’s play talk more of contesting against a very popular Governor.

He adjudged that the governor of Adamawa State, Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has performed above average and this should remind them they have a lot to do as an opposition party in any coming general elections with a divided house.

“APC is indisputably a very popular political party in Adamawa state. The emergence of Sen. Engr Aishatu Dahiru Binani was a sign of good tidings to the electorates. She was popular, charismatic, generous, and grassroots-oriented. Conversely, internal wranglings within the party or most likely the inability of cohesion within the APC pushed her to a halt thereby choosing good people to man her campaign council was voided.

“For instance, if a great mind like Chief Fenny Fwa was given the DG of her campaign council, while those she contested against in the primaries like Hon. Wafarninyi Theman, Hon. Abdullrazaq Namdas were coopted into her campaign assets, the narrative would have been greatly different today.” Jatabawa worried

He however said that the party had a good outing and all hope is not lost because good people like Sen. Ishaku Abbo who against all odds became the most dependable asset of the Gubernatorial campaign council show the party still has great hope.

He sadly lamented his worries over the tempos and disposition of party men in the party system in Adamawa who may not want to change the party narratives of reclaiming the mandate they all believe was stolen.

According to him the men and women are within the party like Cancer worms causing havoc, eating deeply into the fabric of the party unity, the party’s peaceful co-existence, and the Party’s major strength in winning the election.

He said the only hope for Adamawa APC is the anticipation of a favorable judgment by the Supreme Court. That alone can make the party viable and strong again, either Way, if the judgment is passed there is going to be a mass exodus of party members and a lot of politics will be witnessed in the coming months.

“Those who think they are the demigods of Adamawa APC will be left to lord over carcasses, vultures, and political liabilities; the few good that will remain in the party will do so as a matter of personal principles and integrity.” He said

While seeing it as an impending implosion in Adamawa APC shall there be a judgment against the party in the waiting Supreme Court decision between Sen Aisha Dahiru Binani and Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The APC Man described Adamawa State as a microcosm of the whole of Nigeria, the crisis that emanated in the state can be extended to the national level and the consequences can be catastrophic.

He said APC in Adamawa is like any other state across the country, having a unique set of Problems and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu must sit up to ensure sanity in the party system and reward system to take center stage else the party will suffer a heavy blow in the coming years.

“If Ganduje will fail woefully as an immediate past Governor of Kano State and party national leader can not win State for APC, then there is more to it than the eye can see,” Jatabawa stated
