The purpose and details of these visits remain undisclosed, as they were described by close associates as “private visits.”

Atiku Abubakar took to his Twitter handle to announce Obi’s visit, expressing his delight in hosting him.

Obi, who was Atiku’s running mate during the 2019 presidential election, had a close relationship with the former Vice President.

Meanwhile, sources close to Obi confirmed that he also made a similar visit to Sule Lamido.

Atiku shared photos of their meeting, captioning it: “It was my honor and privilege to host @PeterObi today.”

These private meetings come amid recent revelations made by Atiku’s spokesperson, Paul Ibe.

Ibe disclosed in a podcast interview with Seun Okinbaloye’s Mic On podcast that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, played a significant role in Peter Obi’s departure from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), clarifying that Atiku was prepared to allocate the PDP presidential ticket to the Southeast.

The purpose and significance of Obi’s private visits to Atiku and Lamido remain undisclosed, sparking curiosity and speculation among political observers.
