Sen Abbo appreciates FG for establishing Agric uni in Mubi, 3 others

The Senator Representing Adamawa Northern Zone, Mr Ishaku Elisha Abbo (Cliff) has appreciated former President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the establishment of four federal university and four federal colleges of Education (COEs) across the country.

Abbo said Mubi will be a home base of Federal university of Agriculture (NE) and so worthy of being selected as one of the host of these new universities.

The Federal Government has approved four (4) federal Universities and four (4) federal colleges of Education via a letter dated 18th April 2023 with reference number SH/COS/02/A/3342.

According to Abbo the budgetary provisions for these new universities and colleges will be accommodated in 2024 budget after removing fuel subsidy to free up funds for infrastructural development.

“Adamawa Northern senatorial district now have Federal Medical center, Federal University of Agriculture and Mubi Airport in fulfillment of part of the promises made to the old Sardauna province before we chose to join Nigeria and NOT Cameroun in the 1961 Plebiscite.” Abbo said

“While requesting the Federal Government to make adequate budgetary provisions for the construction of Mubi – Cameroun – Chad – Central African Republic international commerce route, we appreciate deeply the renewed interest of Federal Government in this old German Colony – Mubi.” he added

Other states with the approval of the new federal high institutions are; university of medical health science, Kwale Delta state (SS) university of medical health science, Katsina, katsina state (NW),Federal university of Agriculture Bassam, Biri Bayelsa state.

Federal College of Education Gwoza, Borno state (NE) ,Federal College of Education Ofeme, Uhuhu Abia state (SE), Federal College of Education Ilewi Ekiti state (SW)
