Sen Binos’ Medical Team Treats Over 845 Patients at Mayo-Farang

The medical team of Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, representing Adamawa Southern Senatorial Zone, has rendered free medical services at Mayo-Farang community of Mayo-Belwa LGA where 845 patients received treatment of various ailments and diseases.

The one-day free medical outreach, conducted on Friday, was aimed at enhancing the wellbeing and health status of the inhabitants of Mayo-Farang community and environs  in Mayo-Belwa LGA as part of ways to enhancing the livelihoods of his constituents.

The famous Binos Mobile Hospital arrived the community with high expectations where no fewer than 21 surgeries had been conducted successfully with over eight hundred patients treated of various ailments and diseases.

Speaking at the event, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, said that it became imperative for him to embark on the medical outreach to render free medical services for the benefit of the residents of Mayo-Farang and environs, where he described health as wealth.

Senator Binos pointed out that he ensured he improve the health conditions of his constituents, adding that rendering free medical services was part of his topmost priorities.

I don’t do that for the people to praise me

In his words, “This is what I have been doing, and I don’t do that for the people to praise me. If you observe every well, I don’t do propaganda to gain cheap political gains. The people I help know that I have helped them; I don’t have to be shouting about it in the media.

“It is not about the public knowing what I am doing, it is about impacting lives of my constituents. We don’t add the numbers of the patients we have treated as other politicians do. I ensure what the media report about my programmes and activities are factual”.

While assuring his constituents of his commitment and determination to keep providing free medical services, Senator Binos said that he would continue to provide people-oriented programmes and activities for the benefit of his constituents.

Speaking, the Lead Consultant of the Medical Team, Dr. Adediran Charles, disclosed that 845 patients were treated free-of-charge in Mayo-Farang community with about 21 surgeries successfully conducted, where he attributed the success of the outreach to the professionalism of the health experts that formed the medical team.

According to him, “Every medical service rendered here is free. All medical services are free. All the medical personnel here are experts from across the country.

“We distributed over 1,000 cards, and we were able to see both medical and surgical patients. Some of the cases include hernia, appendicitis, lumps from the body and other ailments.

“All the people that gathered were given free medical services, ranging from surgeries, consultations, medications, laboratory test, USS which is scanning and other medical services”.

Also speaking, the Facility Manager of Primary Healthcare Centre (PHCC) Mayo-Farang, Mr Modibbo Maigari, commended Senator Binos Yaroe for his decision to embark on the free medical outreach at Mayo-Farang community.

Modibbo, who also described health as wealth, called on other politicians to emulate the kind gesture of Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe by providing basic needs of the masses which health is topmost.

My child suffered from hernia for good five years

A cross section of beneficiaries who spoke to pressmen shortly after successful surgeries, thanked Senator Binos for coming to their aid.

One of the beneficiaries is Mrs Rahab Agabus’ child who suffered from hernia for five years. He was operated upon successfully and he is now free from the ailment.

Speaking to newsmen, Mrs Rahab Agabus, “My child suffered from hernia for good five years. We could not go to the hospital because we did not have the means. But today, he underwent surgery free-of-charge; courtesy of Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe”.

Another beneficiary was a child of Mal. Muhammad Mayo-Farang, who suffered from an ailment from birth. The Binos Medical Team conducted a surgery on him for free and he is now alright.

Interacting with journalists, Mal. Muhammadu Mayo-Farang, who could not hide his joy, thanked Senator Binos Yaroe and prayed God Almighty to grant the Senator the desires of his heart.

10 emergency cases had been tackled

Meanwhile, the next day Saturday, when the Gangwari Ganye, HRH Alh. Umaru Adamu Sanda, celebrated his Silver Jubilee, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe saw the need to station the famous Mobile Clinic at the Gangwari’s Palace with medical experts on ground to provide medical services to emergency cases during the celebration.

The presence of the Mobile Clinic had helped in no small measures in addressing some emergency cases among the people who graced the occasion and had health challenges during the programme.

We treated cataracts and other emergencies

According to the Medical Team Lead, Dr. Jama Medan, no fewer that 10 emergency cases had been tackled. He noted that people trooped to the Mobile Clinic and their health issues had been attended to by the medical personnel.

In his words, “We treated cataracts and other emergencies. There was also a woman who had an accident with a Keke-Napep some time ago. She came to us and we were able to treat the wound on one of her legs. We also had a number of emergency cases where people collapsed and were rushed to the Mobile Clinic”.

Also speaking, the Principal Medical Officer (PMO) General Hospital Ganye, Dr. Melena Enoch, commended Senator Binos Yaroe for seeing the need to provide free medical services at the 25th Anniversary of the Gangwari Ganye. He described the decision as foresight at work.

He stated, “The presence of the Mobile Clinic has gone a long way in addressing some of the health challenges that people encountered during the event. I have worked with the medical team, and I saw their commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of the people”.

In an interaction with pressmen, Sarkin Yaki Tola, Alh. Salihu Usman Tola, said that for Senator Binos to decide providing free medical services during the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Gangwari Ganye was a testament of his love for the Royal Father and his subjects.

He pointed out, “People would come to this occasion healthy, but something might happen when the occasion is ongoing. This Mobile Clinic is here to tackle these kinds of cases. I have witnessed how people with health challenges received free medical services here.

“As I am talking to you, you can see how the medical personnel were carrying that old man into the Mobile Clinic to treat him of an unexpected ailments. Even the military and other security agents have received treatment today. Senator Binos has to be commended for such a kind gesture”.

One of the beneficiaries, Haj. Bilkisu Mayo, told journalists that she had an accident inside a Keke-Napep some time ago which affected one of her legs, but she was treated inside the Mobil Clinic when the event was ongoing.

She expressed, “I want to use this medium to thank Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe for seeing the need to provide these medical services for free here. In fact, the initiative has also helped people like me who have been battling with health issues even before this occasion. I cannot thank Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe enough for improving our wellbeing. May God Almighty bless him abundantly”.
