Sen Binta using sport as a bridge of unity and Peace building in Adamawa

The Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial zone at National Assembly, Mrs Binta Masi Garba has introduced a foot ball tournament for the five LGAs constituting the district.

According her sport is one of the games that foster peace and unity around the globe, a giant and a unifying factor if properly harness will bring out good football talents in the zone.

Binta who is making a deliberate efforts to see that the youth of the area are engaged positively in the area of sports, introducing the first edition of football competition in the constituency which seventy teams are involved from all the state development areas of the zone.

The tournament kick off at the various local governments where two  teams were qualified from each local government. Ten teams are presently playing in Mubi, the finals will be play on Friday the 8th February 2019.

The senator supply 17 sets of Jesseys, nets, balls and first aid kits, transportation, feeding and accommodation for those who are out side Mubi.

Same tournament is also on going at various selected venues across the constituency. Namely Michika and Mubi. The finals will be played in Mubi by all the winning teams from each LGAs.
