In a remarkable display of commitment to fostering interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence, Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo has made generous donations to both the Adamawa State Muslim Council and the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Jambutu, Adamawa State.

Just a day after donating two Keke Napep to the Adamawa State Muslim Council as prizes for winners in the state Quranic recitation competition, Senator Abbo was invited as the Special Guest of Honour to the 2024 Harvest Thanksgiving Service of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Jambutu.

During the service, Senator Abbo seized the opportunity to make a fundraising call for the church’s need for an electricity generating set. However, instead of donating a generator, he suggested that the church consider purchasing solar panels and batteries, a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option.

Senator Abbo’s call to action was met with an overwhelming response from the invited guests, including those from Cross River State. Brother Ezekiel Joseph, an illustrious son of the state, donated three batteries to the church, while other guests, including Sunday Peter, donated a total of N1.3 million.

Senator Abbo generously donated N1.7 million, bringing the total amount to N3 million

To make up the balance needed to purchase the solar panels, Senator Abbo generously donated N1.7 million, bringing the total amount to N3 million. Additionally, he made a harvest donation of N1 million to the church.

Senator Abbo’s actions demonstrate his strong commitment to fostering interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence in Adamawa State. His generosity and selflessness serve as a shining example of the importance of practical love and justice in promoting peace and development.

My commitment to foster religious harmony and love to both Christians and Muslims remains strong
