Senator Amos Yohanna, representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial District, has empowered over 600 women and youths with various trades and skills to alleviate their living conditions, severely affected by the Boko Haram insurgency.
The empowerment programme was convened in Mubi Local Government Area of the state, providing agricultural inputs for poultry, dry season farming, blending machines, and more.
Senator Yohanna stated that this is just the beginning of his efforts to address the devastation caused by the insurgency, acknowledging that the area requires significant support to recover from its devastation.

He pledged to collaborate with government institutions, private organizations, and international partners to improve the wellbeing of his constituents. He also encouraged farmers to take advantage of the rainy season for a bountiful harvest and store their produce to ensure food security.
The empowerment programme was well-attended by notable figures from across the state, including members of the State Assembly, State Executive Council, Council Chairmen, Councillors, and political appointees. Beneficiaries came from various parts of Mubi zone.

Senator Yohanna’s initiative has been praised for keeping his campaign promises and demonstrating his commitment to his constituents’ welfare. His workaholic aides and Team RAY members were also commended for ensuring a hitch-free organization and distribution of the empowerment programme.
