In a heartfelt message shared with the community, Honourable Suleiman Yahaya Sudi, a prominent political figure in Adamawa State, expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation following the passing of his beloved wife, Hajiya Yushau Suraiya. The letter, written with deep emotional resonance, serves as a poignant reminder of love, forgiveness, and the strength of community support in times of sorrow.


“Peace be open to you all,” began the letter, as Honourable Sudi addressed his constituents and supporters. He thanked everyone for their overwhelming messages of love, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time, highlighting the significant impact his wife’s life had on those around her.
Hajiya Yushau Suraiya, remembered for her grace and kindness, was a pillar of strength not only for her family but for the community at large. Honourable Sudi reflected on their decades-long marriage, stating, “Since our marriage some decades ago, she has never ever offended me, and I forgive her even if she mistakenly or intentionally offended me.” His words encapsulated a deep sense of partnership and understanding, illustrating the profound bond they shared.

The Honourable also took a moment to acknowledge the support he received from various dignitaries. He expressed sincere gratitude to his mentor, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his personal visit to condole with the family. “Your kindness during this trying time means the world to me,” Sudi wrote, thanking the governor for his compassion and leadership.
In his letter, Sudi extended his appreciation to friends, family, and business associates, as well as various organizations, for their “uncountable loves bestowed” upon him during this period of grief. He specifically recognized the role of local politicians, including Hon. Mohammed Umaru Jabu, Chairman of ADSIEC, and Senator Amos Yohanna, for their solidarity and support.
