The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Professor Chukwuma Soludo has not cast his vote hours after the commencement of governorship election in Anambra State.

The development followed the non-working of the card reader machine in Isuofia Ward 13, polling unit 002.

Voters at the time this report was filed were protesting against the malfunctioning of the INEC card reader deployed to the unit as not even one voter had been cleared to exercise their civic duty.

Also at Isuofia polling unit 001, INEC machines have been working slowly to the frustration of the residents who came out in their numbers to cast their votes.

A frustrated visually-impaired old man, Mr Udoka Okafor, who spoke to The Punch correspondent on the issue said, “I have been here since 9:30 am but I have not been able to cast my vote. The INEC voting machine couldn’t read my fingerprint but I must exercise my franchise.”
