A grass root Adamawa politician and former Vice Chairman of Hong LGA,Hon Mathew D Kalpili Called on Hon Femi Gbajabiamila,Abdulrazak Namdas and others wanting to be speaker for the Ninth House of representative Assembly to cede the post for Hon Yusuf Yakubu who is better known as Captain Buba.
According to him Buba is a ranking member who garnered much experience to pilot the affairs of the honourable lawmakers in the green Chambers.
He prays that if APC party zoning arrangements favor the people of North East region for the speakership,he pleads for the entire lawmakers to support Buba whose vision is for a better Nigeria through vibrant and enhance relationship between the Executives and legislatives.
He condemn the attitude of most members who will always want to have their ways for selfish reasons without wanting to allow others to grow through the ladders of political positions.
He regarded the stewardship of Yusuf as the best since the creation of Gombi/Hong federal constituency whose level of representation is highly commendable.
He said since the history of the constituency no any lawmaker had a consistent two term reelection bid except Buba and is because of his indelible records of achievements.
MD who is currently the Director publicity of Yusuf Yakubu Buba campaign organisation,a returned Member elect under APC,assure Nigerians of Buba having the wherewithal,a passionate fellow that have the nation at heart.
He cautioned derogatory campaign of some aspirants with threat not to dare aspire the position of being speakers as if the office of the speaker is only meant for them.
“May I submit to you that whether ranking member or new elected member,they are all ordinary lawmakers,having equal rights as far as the house of representative is concern, and they are all ordinary lawmakers
“Campaign of who is a ”super Lawmaker” or ranking member does not even arise,it is who has the ability to put the country at the course of progress,who can work with other arms of government in the overall interest of Nigeria masses.
“With this without fair and favor i want to say that Captain Buba can match any member,can perform well in all standard and he can do it better than anybody.”
He said Captain Buba is the only Christian ranking member returned elected in the whole of Northern Nigeria,and is to tell the world that his records of achievements speaks well of him.
“Buba is the only House of reps member whose score cards of achievements is cutting across the two LGAs is representing,Gombi/Hong.
“I want to tell you that Since the history of Hong LGA no member work in all the 224 polling units constituting the area,becoming the next Speaker is work for Nigerian Masses as usual. While in Gombi LGA he established a captain Buba industrial village where over 8000 Women and Youths were trained on various skills acquisitions for the sake of enterprenueship.” Mathew said
He further said that people like Femi and Namdas had the opportunity of holding principal and sensitive positions of the house,ceding the seat to Yusuf is a celebration of internal democracy and growing in oneness to achieve a common goal.
