The Former Secretary to the Government of the Federal (SGF), Engr Babachir David Lawal fired back at the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) of its Failure to have conducted a free and fair elections in many Part of the state.
According to him that Whoever frightened the Government of Adamawa state under the leadership of Rt Hon Ahmadu Fintiri into this course of action does not mean well for it.
He Said ADSIEC (or whatever and who ever they may be) can continue to delude themselves and pretend that when they repeat their lies and intimidating write-ups multiple times over, people will come to believe them.
The former SGF’s press release of 8th Condemning the way and manner ADSIEC failed in conducting credible election attracted commends from most the ruling party in the state.
Lawal in another statement further reiterated his earlier submission that there was no election.
He categorical said that there was no election in Hong,his LGA of origin and they know that there was none. “Also everyone (aside the pretenders and purchased agents) know that there was no election in Hong LGA.”
He revealed that the Government’s paid agents can shower insults on me in what ever way they can conjure and repeat them as many times as they can. But I stand by the truth – there was no election in Hong LGA and they Know that there was none.
He continue to say that “Lying to a people knowing they know the truth is the characteristics of a Government that is afraid it is losing touch with a people that had fully supported them in the general elections.”
“It is not about APC or PDP winning but about stating the fact as it is – there was no election in Hong LGA so lying that there was one amounts to a self-delusion.” He added
“We have been here in the past. Paid hatchet men, sycophants and carrier deceivers paint a glowing picture those in power only for the system to crash on them. Whoever frightened the Government into this course of action does not mean well for it.
“Election could still have held and PDP could still have won and the result would have been a win-win for all. Now is a lose-lose.
“Me, I have said my own as I always do.”
The Chairman ADSIEC ,Isah Shettima simply replied all he knows election was conducted in Adamawa state as political party agents,media and security men have brought back report of a conducted elections.
