A Christian elderstateman and the President of Trinity Bible College Yola, Prof Dan Babayi warned the National and state Leaders of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to stop causing division in the entire body of christ with their selfish style of leadership.
Babayi a one time CAN chairman of Adamawa state and Northern CAN chairman, served well with indelible records of achievements is Calling on Christians leaders to pay attention to the book of Romans where it stated that;anybody that’s causing division in the body of Christ is not working for Jesus but working for his belly.
The Clergy Man gave this warning during an annual Harvest Thanksgiving service of Adamawa state government house Chapel as the invited guest speaker.
According to him a Christian believer should not cause division rather be tolerant and endure all forms of persecutions.
He unravel that there is problems in the body of Christ today because most Christian leaders are there because of their hidden agenda.
”Christianity is so simple if you are not having any hidden agenda as a leader or you are not there because of your personal interest. ” Babayi Said
Prof Dan responded to a question asked by our reporter of the recent fracas that almost divide the national CAN into two of financial mismanagement and favoritism by its officials.
Frowned at the level of Christians leaders stooping law to politicians because of personal gains of financial enrichment,mortgaging their Faith to worldliness.
His words of warnings call for concern for Christians leaders to live a Christ like life that show good example of patience,longsuffering, humility,love for one another and careless of the things of the world.
He however call on them to be active in politics,join political parties of their choice in order for the country to produce good leaders.
