Sudan: Another 422 Nigerians arrive Abuja

More Nigerians, 422 in total, arrived in Abuja on Sunday following the evacuation efforts by the Federal Government from the war-torn country of Sudan.

The group includes 102 Nigerians who were onboard the Tarco Airlines that departed from Port Sudan and another 322 Nigerians onboard the Asman Air from Aswan, Egypt.

This marks the fourth successful airlift of returnees by the Nigerian government from North Africa.

The returnees departed from Port Sudan International Airport at 5:25 am on Sunday and arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 12:40 pm.

On the same day, over 800 Nigerians fleeing the war-torn country of Sudan arrived in Abuja via Max Air, Azman, and Tarco Airlines.

Upon arrival at the airport, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), and security officials were present to receive the returnees.
