To any students of politics, it is a general believe that politics at the grassroots is a game base on winning changes to all who plays the game. Hon Sunday Peter is today a young vibrant lawmaker at the Adamawa State House of Assembly (ADHA) whose indelible records of raising motions to resolution are good contributions to development of Adamawa,his bills are now formadable laws in the present six assemblyassembly in the state.
His journey into political fame was no doubt a game of favourable winning chances when he vied a Guyuk constituency. Being a man with rooted grassroots idealogy politics, he worn in an extra ordinary way and today his good name is placed in the archives of Adamawa state,that a Young Man has came to change the course of history for the good people of Guyuk, Adamawa state and Nigeria.
His humble background, was a bigining that made him to trekked through the wilderness of life,walked the desert way like the Biblical Moses and gained the experience of loyal servant, faithful to carried the mandate of the people (God) to the promise Land. The Man Sunday Peter has walked the hard way,the lonely way and the only way to Victory. Today Sunday made a name,written in gold and silver,placed in the Mirror marbles of beauty that at a very young age he became the number fourth person (Deputy Speaker) of Adamawa.
There is school of thought asserted by many that says “Leaders are born “- Meaning servant have came to deliver Service of goodness to Man kind. It is an assertion with an infallible mark of truth in the personality of Honourable Sunday Peter, Member representing the people that are Mostly refer to as the ”David”, Men with the sling of war. The former deputy Speaker of the house whose purported impeachment some some months ago was done while he was away on an official assignment to cement bilateral ties between Adamawa state and the country of Poland. He gave it up to fate and as an act of God Almighty to willed it at that point to serve even when his electorates consider it a witch hunt plan to scuttle down his vision of new Adamawa and to clip up his political growing wings. But his service to the people of Adamawa state by making Bills,Laws,Motions and resolutions is no doubt a history that can be hardly broken down.
This and Many more,one can comfortable say Sunday is a servant for the Old,a servant for the Young, a servant for Women and Youths, a servant that master the mastery work of stewardship to all. Who goes about doing good governance acts and skills. He had the mandate in 2015 through availing himself to serve. The mandate is well kept,nurtured and breed to a people focused mandate,now is being appreciated by many elders of Guyuk Land that Sunday is really a child of necessity who came and liberate,delivered and became a freedom fighter of his people.
In 2015 was an availing moment by him but in 2019 project,it is a calling by his people to go for them. Like the popular adage that says” the voice of Men is the voice of God”. The 2019 is the people’s (God’s) voice that says ‘Sunday come let me send you for the people of Guyuk.
Last week at the All Progressives Congress,APC, state’s Secretariat in Yola,it was a ”road closed” as the party stakeholders, Youths, women irrespective of party affiliation thronged the office of the party in purchased of nomination and expression of interest forms in an effort to give Mr Peter a clarion call to go for the second term as lawmaker to consolidate his giants strides of legislative duties.
The voice of the people of Guyuk has been voiced out,call according to some of the people is a must answer call that they cannot accept any excuse from him.
James Arama,who calls himself a Youths activist was one of the strong voices that stormed the party office in support and solidarity of Sunday’s return.
”The records of Sunday’s achievements are crystal clear to even the blind and deaf of our land,everyone of us can smell it,feel it and see the magnitude of his projects and the impact of his represention. We gathered our Money this time around to give him all the needed support to continue the good representation for us.”
In honour to him the mammoth crowd took the forms to his House in Jimeta for anward submission. But only for Sunday to decked himself in tears seeing the calibre of the people stormed his House for believing in his style of service to them.
On submitting the forms earlier this week at the party office where Sunday personal took the it, he narrates story of success of his coming back as an omen of a celebrated welcome back of a child of destiny whose second term is a predestinated plant of God to come back.
According to Sunday, that he have every reason to say God has been too good to him over his political journey, his words of thanks are so immeasurable to God and his supporters,most especially his Party stakeholders who are his backbone of defense.
He reiterated his staunch commitment to do much more human angle representation than a mere political gimmicks in the House.
“I can’t turn down the voices of my people, they represent God,I think is equally nice to say God has called me for bigger assignment for His people in 2019.” He said
