The National Secretariat of Sport Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has order the reinstatement of Mr. Austin Ajayi as the chairman of Adamawa state chapter.
The restatement order was contained in a letter from the zonal vice President is the association, Mr. Sadiq Moyoyo.
According the letter signed by Mr. Moyoyo ” following the letter received from the NUJ Adamawa state council, abating your suspension from the Union, as directed by the. National Secretariat of NUJ, i am directed by the National President of SWAN to convene to you to resume as the chairman of Adamawa state chapter”.
It could be recalled that Mr. Austin Ajayi was suspended from NUJ activities for one year and relieved from his position as chairman by Ethics and disciplinary committee for dervasion of #500,00 .
A decision Mr. Ajayi appealed against and the National Secretariat of NUJ upheld his appeal and order that the committee revisit the case with strict compliance with Article 7 of the NUJ constitution.
The letter which was signed by the deputy National Secretary of NUJ dated 30/08/2017 also abated the suspension.
While taking over from the AG. Chairman of the Association,Mr Kinsija Bukar, Mr. Ajayi thanked everyone and promised to continue from where the ag. Chairman stop.
He commended the ag chairman and the entire members for their efforts in moving SWAN in the state.
Mr. Kinseja while handing over the leadership back to Mr. Ajayi thanked the members for the support he got while he was in charge and urged members to continue in the same spirit stressing that leadership comes from God.
