After a review of security situation in parts of Jalingo, Taraba state capital and Ardo kola local government area which experienced crisis recently, Governor Darius Ishaku has approved the relaxation of the current curfew imposed on the affected areas.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity Bala Dan Abu and made available to newsmen in Jalingo.

It says, the curfew now starts from 9pm and end 6am daily as against the 6pm to 6am to the further notice.
This means three hour reduction in the time previously covered by the curfew.
According to the statement, Governor Ishaku also ordered a ban on the movement of Keke NAPEP in all the areas covered by the curfew between 8pm and 6am daily to the further notice.
The Governor however, directed security agencies in the state to ensure strict enforcement of these new directives on security in the state.
