The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) Taraba state branch says it believed that President Muhammadu Buhari has fulfill about ninety per cent of his campaign promises of 2015, especially in the areas of security, particularly in the North-east, war against corruption as well as enhanced economic growth through Agriculture and job creation for the youth of which their members are beneficiaries.
State Chairman of the Association Comrade Sahabi Mahmud who stated this at a Press briefing in Jalingo said, because of the above reasons which the present administration of the President have achieved so far, if he is given another term he will change the country for the betterment of all Nigerians.
He explained that, inview of the ongoing massive electric power generation project in Mambilla plateau, rehabilitation of Jalingo-Numan road, construction of Ibi bridge, market money and school feeding as well as N-Power programs among others, the state chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has endorsed and promised to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari on February 16th of this year.
Comrade Sahabi Mahmud however called on all members of the Association in the state to also work towards the election of the Former Acting Governor of Taraba state, Alhaji Sani Danladi of APC as the Governor of the state.
Similarly, another section of Fulani Ardos and Jauros have on the same day, Monday 7th January 2019 endorsed the PDP Governorship candidate in the state, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku for his re-election.
Speaking at the occasion in Government House Jalingo, leader of the deligation who is also the Chairman Miyetti Allah North-east zone, Alhaji Muhammad Danburam told the Governor that they were in government house to thank him for his good governance and Justice to all, as well as to assured him of their full support and promised to vote him for the second term.
In his contribution, Senator representing Taraba North Senator Shu’aibu Isa Lau thanked the Ardos and Jauros as well as Fulani women and youth for their foresights, reassuring the Governor of the full support of the fulanis in the state, saying that the fulanis are known be a straight forward people which he believed they would translate it during the election.
On his part, Governor Darius Ishaku described their decision as a great achievement to his ruling party the PDP, noting that because of his love for the fulani people in the state, his Special Adviser on political affairs is a fulani man as well as Chief Protocool officer among others, therefore he expressed gratitude for promising him their votes during the Governortorial election.
” I wonder why se enemies of peace will say i don’t like fulani, let me tell you even my wife that is in my house now She has the blood of fulanis, so am your own and i always have good intentions over you people to God who made me and if am re-elected i will make do many good things to better your lives by his grace”.
” It is because of my good heart against the fulanis i enacted the open grazing prohibition and ranching sterblishment law, however some stakeholders are misinterpretating the law as a motive to witch Hunt the hearders”.
Ishaku further expressed that, he will continue to provide necessary idears that will put the state away from crisis and dispute among ethnics in the state.
