A shocking incident of violence has unfolded in Enugu, where a female tenant allegedly attacked her landlord with a pestle, leaving him with severe head injuries. The altercation reportedly began when the landlord served the tenant with an eviction notice, asking her to vacate the property. However, the situation quickly escalated, with the tenant becoming aggressive and striking the landlord with the heavy kitchen tool.

According to eyewitnesses, the dispute between the landlord and the tenant had been ongoing for some time, but it took a turn for the worse when the landlord asked her to leave the property. The tenant, who has not been named, allegedly became enraged and grabbed a pestle from the kitchen, using it to attack the landlord.
The landlord, who is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital, suffered severe head injuries in the attack. The authorities have taken the suspect into custody and are conducting further investigations into the incident.

The incident has raised concerns about the rising cases of violence and aggression in landlord-tenant disputes in Nigeria. While the details of the incident are still emerging, it is clear that the situation could have been handled differently, and the use of violence was not justified.
The police have urged landlords and tenants to seek peaceful resolution to their disputes, rather than resorting to violence. The incident is a reminder of the importance of maintaining good relationships between landlords and tenants, and the need for effective conflict resolution mechanisms to be put in place to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
