According to local sources, terrorists attacked a village in the Chibok area on Thursday, razing properties and killing not fewer than eight residents, primarily Christians. Details of the incident remain limited as security forces continue to assess the situation.

In a separate incident on Friday morning, gunmen stormed Mussa Primary and Junior Secondary School in Askira-Uba, abducting dozens of pupils despite the recent presence of soldiers in the community.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attackers arrived on motorcycles shortly after troops had left the area, opened fire to cause panic, and forcibly took away many students—both boys and girls—into the bush.

Some pupils reportedly escaped into nearby bushes during the chaos, but the exact number of those abducted is yet to be confirmed by authorities. The attack has sparked fears of another major school kidnapping in the region, reminiscent of previous Boko Haram operations.

Residents have called for enhanced security presence and urgent intervention to secure the release of the abducted pupils and prevent further attacks.
