TETFUND Team Conducts On-Site Assessment at Federal College of Education Yola to Evaluate Centre of Excellence

A distinguished team of experts from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) visited the Federal College of Education Yola on Wednesday for an in-depth assessment of the performance of its Centre of Excellence, a project funded through TETFUND’s initiatives.

Led by Professor Olatunde Falomi, the team included three other specialists and was warmly welcomed by the college’s Governing Council Chairman, Engineer Saheed Johnson, along with the Provost and other senior management staff at the Provost’s office.

Professor Olatunde emphasized the significance of the visit, stating, “Our primary goal is to evaluate the performance of the Centre of Excellence and its impact not only on the college but also on the surrounding community. We will also assess various TETFUND interventions across the campus to identify areas that may benefit from further improvements in future initiatives.”

During the visit, the TETFUND team will tour the college’s facilities and programs funded by the organization, gathering insights and data to enhance the effectiveness of their support.

Engineer Saheed Johnson expressed gratitude for the team’s presence, assuring them of the college’s commitment to providing any necessary information to facilitate their assessment. “We appreciate your visit and are ready to assist in any way to ensure your task is successfully accomplished,” he stated.

Echoing Engineer Johnson’s sentiments, the college Provost, Dr. Mohammed Usman Degereji, also extended his appreciation to the TETFUND team. He reaffirmed the college’s dedication to total cooperation throughout their evaluation process, highlighting the importance of constructive feedback for future development.

As the team embarks on this critical assessment, the Federal College of Education Yola remains committed to leveraging TETFUND’s support to enhance educational quality and community engagement. The outcomes of this visit are anticipated to shape the college’s strategic direction and foster further collaborations with TETFUND.
