Tgnews congratulates Mohammed on his new appointment as acting Provost of Kaltungo college of Health

The Governor of Gombe, His Excellency Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya has appointed Dr Mohammed Umar Inuwa as the new acting Provost for the College of Health Science and Technology, Kaltungo.

The General News (TGnews) in a statement signed by its Chief Editor congratulated Umar who will be the next Acting Provost/Sole Administrator of the Gombe State College of Health Science and Technology situated in Kaltungo, the Southern Senatorial zone of the state.

A statement signed by the Governor’s Director General of Press Affairs, Mallam Ismaila Uba Misilli further stated that the approval was conveyed by the Commissioner of Higher Education, Mohammed Shattima Gadam.

He disclosed that Dr. Mohammed’s appointment followed the resignation of the former Acting Provost, Dr. Ahmed Wali Doho who contested and won the position of Chairman of Kwami Local Government in the recently conducted local council election.

Dr. Umar Mohammed, a seasoned academic with extensive leadership experience, was until this appointment, the Director of Academic Planning at the Federal University of Kashere.

Umar is also a National Institute of Policy Strategy stStudiesNIPSS) participant in course forty-nine Policy Strategy and leLeadershipourse (PSLC) is the leadership to bear in mind that will see to the growth of the health college in Gombe.

The statement read that Umar would hold the position in an acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Provost.

The appointment which is with immediate effect, Governor Inuwa expects Umar to bring his wealth of academic and administrative experience to bear in ensuring the smooth operation and development of the institution.
