The management and staff of TGNews have expressed deep sympathy to the leadership and members of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) following the devastating fire outbreak that destroyed parts of the church building and properties worth millions of naira in Gombe State.

In a statement released on Wednesday and signed by the Managing Editor of TGNews, Mr. Emmanuel Kwada, the media organization described the incident as a painful loss not only to the church but also to the wider Christian community and the nation at large.

According to the statement, the destruction caused by the fire has left members of the church facing the enormous challenge of rebuilding their place of worship while coping with the emotional impact of the disaster.
Kwada noted that while the church extends beyond physical structures, the loss of a building dedicated to worship remains deeply painful.
“The church is our heart, not the structure. However, it is painful when we lose the structure that shelters us as we gather to worship God,” Kwada said.
He stressed that no faith community should have to endure such hardship, adding that the tragedy should be viewed as a collective loss requiring compassion and support from all Nigerians.
“No group should be subjected to such difficulties and pain. When a community suffers a loss of this magnitude, it affects all of us as a nation. We must stand together in solidarity and support during moments like this,” he added.
The statement reaffirmed TGNews’ commitment to promoting peace, unity, and national cohesion, emphasizing that an injury to one segment of society is felt across the broader community.
The organization extended its heartfelt condolences to the leadership of the church, the congregation, and the entire ECWA family in Gombe State, assuring them of its prayers and support during the difficult period.
TGNews also prayed for divine comfort, strength, and provision for the affected congregation, expressing hope that God would grant them the resources needed to rebuild and restore what was lost.
The media organization further expressed confidence that the unfortunate incident would ultimately become a testimony of faith, resilience, and God’s sustaining grace.

The fire outbreak, which reportedly destroyed church property worth millions of naira, has continued to attract sympathy from religious organizations, community leaders, and well-wishers across the country.
TGNews concluded by calling on Nigerians to support the affected church community and join in prayers for a swift and complete restoration of the damaged facility.
