The Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial district, Cliff Elisha Abbo has expressed his profound gratitude to the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Ahmad Lawal for making him a member of 9 key standing committees.
Cliff in his social media handle (Facebook) said Lawal is a strong hearted Man,kind and detribalized Nigerian leader who counted not his faults nor regarded him as an enemy.
” I want to Profoundly appreciate The President of the Senate His Excellency Distinguished Senator Ahmed Lawan for reposing great confidence on me to serve in not less than nine (9) key Standing committees of the Senate.
“Recall that on the day of our Inauguration, I nominated his opponent Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume to vie for his seat as President of the Senate. Yet this strong hearted, kind, detribalized Nigerian leader counted NOT my fault against me NOR regarded me as an enemy.” Abbo said
He praised Ahmed to be a true nationalist,a patriotic man who is preoccupied to see that the country have a United Senate to serve the people of Nigeria.
Cliff said Lawal never looked at any Senator as PDP or APC or APGA or YPP. He sees all senators as Nigerians and out to serve the country to greater heights.

“I also want to appreciate my big sister, the Leader of the Adamawa caucus in the National Assembly who proudly calls me “ my son” Distinguished Senator Aisha Ahmed Binani for your guidance and huge sacrifices to me and the people of Adamawa state. Thank you Ma.”
Abbo promised never to disappoint the people of Adamawa and those that continued to believe in his style of Leadership. “I promise never to fail you. I will continue to stand for truth and unity. God bless you all.”
He revealed that he is a member belonging standing committee of Navy as vice Chairman, Member Committee on Agriculture,Budget and National Plannibg.
Other committees are Youth and Sports,Trade and investment,Poverty alleviation & Social Investment program (SIP), Special Duties,interior and Defence.
