The Archbishop of Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) ,Most Rev Musa Panti Filibus has condemned in Strong terms the gruesome killing of Rev Denis Bagauri at the Early hours of today.
Panti in a Press Statement made available to news men is read saying,”the Church condemns in strongest terms the gruesome killing of a man of God who has been in active service in the vineyard of God.”
According to the statement that LCCN woke this morning (Monday) to a very sad and troubling news of the assassination of its clergy Rev Denis Bagauri,an act that can never be justification of whatsoever for the killing of an innocent person.
“Therefore the Church is calling on the government security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are fished out and are brought to book.
“On behalf of the Bishops, pastors and the entire congregations of the LCCN, the Archbishop condolences with the family of Late Rev Bagauri and prays for God’s Grace at this time.
“The Archbishop calls for calm as we pray for the law enforcement agents to do their job by ensuring thorough investigation.
“May the Lord grant us the fortitude to bear this great loss.” Read the statement
